Skills, experience and contribution

Nicholas brings to the Board deep operational and financial expertise combined with a strong commercial and strategic development track record. As former Chief Executive Officer of HSL Marketing Corporation (HSL), and prior to that Chief Financial Officer, he has broad experience of leading a successful multinational Corporations, as well as delivering growth at HSL Marketing Corporation,SA , and the effective use of digital tools in service-led global businesses. These attributes enable him to provide the necessary leadership to the Board and to contribute insights relevant to many of the strategic priorities of the business, as well as experience from the key hospitality customer segment. He is active, in parallel with the Executive Directors, in engaging with investors to ensure that their views and perspectives are considered within Board discussions.

Nicholas has a BA in International Business from UK College of Business and Computing (UKCBC) ,MSC Interior Architecture from the BHC College of South Africa, trained as a Strategic Management Accountant in London, and has seven years’ investment banking experience. Until May 2020, Nicholas was the Senior Independent Director of KML Holdings,Narobi.

Experienced Operations Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the facilities services industry. Skilled in Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Team Building, Key Account Relationship Building, Key Performance Indicators, and Contract Management. Strong information technology professional with a Higher focused in Business Administration and Management, General from DGH Technical School. Ali brings organisation and process to everything he touches. Starting off life in Hessel corporation as Credit Controller he has worked in several Head Office positions and has now been appointed Operations Manager.

A businesswoman and serial entrepreneur in facilities and utilities. Over the course of her career she has set up a number of successful businesses. She is a ‘hands on’ leader committed to growing businesses from the ground up in an ethical, proactive way.

Above all, she believes in creating work environments where people can contribute and be recognized for what they do. She empowers staff by recognizing good performance and encourage them to grow and develop at every opportunity to fulfil their full potential.

Her specialties include: Employee empowerment. cost management, commercial cleaning, cleaning services, business development, soft FM services, waste management and customer service.

Claire joined us as a cleaner, and was quickly spotted as someone who could be a great Chief Operating Officer and Integrator. Now a COO & Integrator, Claire runs the Nicholas Interiors & Design (NID) business with line management responsibilities for Kampala, Jinja, Mbale,Gulu and Mbarara.

Claire also manages the NK Warehouse Group Corporation, where she focuses primarily on the development and education of new concepts to make the cleaning and disinfection process more efficient and effective for front-line employees. For years he has worked hands-on with cleaning companies like Clean Team (CT) to gather useful experience and understanding of their product and business needs. As a part of the CT organization she provides insights into best practices as well as industry knowledge

Philip has over 12 years in Business and Operations Management within the Cleaning and Facility Management industry and joined NK Clean Company SMC Limited in 2018 to assist with our ambition to develop industry leading technology and management systems. A natural leader with strong financial acumen, a background in IT and an unflinching dedication to Occupational Health and Safety, Philip brings a wealth of skills and knowledge to the NK Clean Company team.

Edith started work with NK Clean Company SMC Limited in March 2018. Edith is highly energetic & motivated hospitality professional with 15 years of extensive management experience. Skilled in hospitality industry, yield management, Property Management system, MICROS and pre openings. Edith takes on the responsibility of managing all aspects of the National Accommodation operation and will provide high level support to our operational Account Manager team. Edith is focused on the development of the accommodation team to enhance their client focused service delivery & interactions to ensure seamless housekeeping operations. NK Clean Company SMC Limited is currently experiencing strong growth within the industry and Rona looks forward to leading the team to achieve market dominance based on quality & efficiency. Edith holds a Certificate III in Hospitality Management from Makerere University and has completed Management course from Uganda Management Institute.

Matthew joined the business in 2019 as a key support role to a steadily growing Account management team. Matthew has held major roles within NK Clean Company SMC Limited including Operations Manager Kampala, Jinja Branch Manager. He came to us with a wealth of hospitality knowledge from previous roles for Nile Breweries. Matthew has a passion of customer service and developing high performance teams.

His outcome driven approach has won him high praise from many delighted NK Clean Company SMC Limited Clients. His organisational skills and industry knowledge is unrivalled. A specialist in tender planning and implementation. Matthew’s Leadership has been a driving force behind the growth of NK Clean Company SMC Limited.

Daniel has managed teams for Uganda’s most iconic brands & companies. An innovative thinker who will challenge the status quo. His ability to respond quickly and effectively in situations provides clear and calm leadership for all stakeholders. A strategic thinker who understands that the team delivers the results, so “the standard you walk past is the standard you allow” and through driving this message a consistent high level of service is achieved.
